Meg
Meg's training in yoga, dance and physical therapy have equipped her with the knowledge and creativity required to address the complications of bodily living in these technological times. Yoga can help you heal from an injury, recover from mental and physical illness and develop the discipline to keep going.
Diane
Diane's introduction to Iyengar Yoga began in 1988. When her children were young and as a busy, working mom, she found solace in Iyengar yoga - a source of restoration, invigoration, comfort, strength, and balance. Throughout her life, yoga has been a means to reinvent herself. Diane's teacher training journey began when she was living in Walnut Creek, CA. After completing the course for the 200-hour RYT (registered yoga teacher) in 2020, she and her husband returned to their home in Ferndale WA. As the pandemic restrictions were lifted, she began practicing and teaching with Meg at Whatcom Lotus Yoga. Most recently, she completed a ‘Yoga For Arthritis’ teacher training, and is
excited to share this compassionate approach to yoga with our
yoga community.
Mika
Mika joined our team at Lotus Yoga in June 2023 and is very excited and grateful to be here! She has experience teaching a variety of yoga styles including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Aerial Yoga, and Yoga-Pilates fusion classes. Mika currently teaches on Monday nights, select Saturday mornings, and is studying teaching philosophy and practicum with Meg. She is new to Iyengar Yoga but eager to learn and study the beloved style of yoga that has shaped many of the students at Lotus Yoga. Her classes are wonderfully inventive and FUN. Her Hatha Flow and Stretch Class is a beginning to intermediate level flow class that balances strength building sequences with creative stretches and classic yoga poses. Mika's passion for vibrant living, health and wellness shines in her teaching style.
